Statewide in Hawaiʻi. Open to Nebraska’s ESU 2 districts.

TrustCircle’s daily 2–3 minute check‑in shows support staff who may need attention, so they act early. Teachers give the class time and nothing more.

In every school,
the same four steps.

    Tier 2/3 follow-through

One state department. One service unit. Two ways to run it.

Hawaiʻi offers TrustCircle to every public school through a statewide initiative. Nebraska’s ESU 2 made it available to the districts it serves, and each district decides when to start.

Hawaiʻi Department of Education

State department of education

HIDOE introduced TrustCircle through Here to Help, its statewide prevention and early-intervention initiative. Students check in daily, school support staff act on what they see, and Tier 2/3 follow‑through connects to HIDOE’s own data feeds.

In Hawaiʻi it runs inside HMTSS. In your district, it runs inside yours.

TrustCircle doesn’t bring its own tier model. It gives each tier you already run something to work with, and your team keeps the decisions.

HIDOE’s Here to Help initiative is rooted in the Hawaiʻi Multi‑Tiered System of Support (HMTSS).

What it doesn’t replace: your SIS, your referral process, your screening schedule or your staff’s judgment.

  1. Every student checks in

2–3 minutes of daily reflection in class. No new program for your team to run.

  2. Students who may need attention

Support staff see who may need attention and act early: a conversation, a note, a referral through your own process.

    • Grade 7 · asked to talk to someonePinned
    • Grade 9 · wrote a reason today
  3. Tier 2/3

Service plans, session logs and outcome review, kept alongside your district’s data. Needs your district’s data feeds.

Set it up once at the agency. Open it to each district when it’s ready.

An agency can make TrustCircle available to many districts from one agreement. Each district starts on its own date.

Rostering, staff designation, one training. Then 2–3 minutes a day.

Here’s what your team does before the first check‑in. We set the exact plan and timing with you in the demo.

Before launch, each school confirms who handles urgent concerns. Check-ins are reviewed during school hours; TrustCircle is not a crisis service. If a student is in immediate danger, call 911, or call or text 988.

  2. District

    Designate support staff

Your district names its support staff: counselors, behavioral health specialists or others. Only designated support staff see a student’s check‑ins. Administrators, principals, teachers and parents can’t.

  3. School

    Train staff

A session for support staff, and a short walkthrough of the daily routine for teachers.

  4. Classroom

    Start check‑ins

We agree the start date with you. From then on, it’s 2–3 minutes a day.

Privacy review. Student records are handled under FERPA, and schools consent on families’ behalf under TrustCircle’s COPPA policy. Details on How it works.

Where districts and agencies look for prevention funding

Our guide explains Medicaid school-based services, CYBHI in California, ESSA Titles I, II and IV-A, and state pathways. Whether any of it applies depends on your state and your plan.

Funding guide

For districts and agencies

Medicaid school-based services
Many states let schools bill Medicaid for some health services delivered at school. Rules vary by state.
CYBHI (California)
The Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative funds school-linked behavioral health services.
ESSA Titles I, II and IV-A
Federal funds districts already use for staff and student well‑being.
State pathways
Grants and set-asides that differ by state. The guide lists where to look.
